Join Us Father’s Day Weekend 2023

Hampton Roads Golf Association, Inc. in conjunction with Educational Services of Hampton Roads, Inc., is proud to announce its 4th Annual Foursomes Fore Fatherhood Charity Golf Tournament. This tournament will be held on Friday, June 14, 2024 (Father’s Day Weekend) at the Bide-A-Wee Golf Course located in Portsmouth, Virginia.

The proceeds from this event will benefit the Fatherhood Mentoring Program which is partly funded by the City of Portsmouth Department of Social Services. Specifically, funds raised will be used to assist fathers with paying for tuition and fees associated with obtaining a GED, books, and other educational expenses. Many of the fathers enrolled in our program have been recently released from incarceration and need monetary assistance with overcoming educational and employment barriers.

The 2023 tournament was a huge success, raising over $5,000 and selling out in advance with over 120 golfers and 31 teams registered. We expect to exceed that number at this year’s event. This year, we plan to invite the entire Hampton Roads community to come and participate as spectators and witness the play of Hampton Roads’ finest amateur golfers.

Bide-A-Wee golf course has six (6) golf holes in which spectators can observe the play of golfers and congregate without walking the course. This format will increase the exposure of the charity golf tournament and its corporate supporters. We anticipate over 200 individuals, in addition to golfers, to attend the 202 charity golf tournament.
